Links
These is the most basic but essential part of marketing your Web Site. Linking sites involves putting a hyperlink on other peoples/companies Web Sites that directs traffic to your Web Site. Search Engine listings are important (see Search Engines), but you shouldn't stop there. In our experience, well placed links from other related Web Sites have always generated more traffic than the search engines and directories.
These are not usually free of charge. Most people will not simply give you a link just because you ask for it. If it is a directory who's business it is to list sites, then you might get one, but most of these sites simply offer a list of links as a side attraction. For the majority of Web Sites, you will need to offer them a backlink. This implies that you will have to establish a link that points traffic back to their Web Site.
You need not worry about losing traffic to these these other links you have installed. Web surfers will come and go. If your content is attractive, they will stay on your Web presence and even return at a later date. These links will generally bring far more traffic to your Web Site than it takes away.
Placing links on other peoples/companies Web Sites usually requires more time than effort. You need to find other companies that are either related to your product and/or have sufficient traffic that it would be in your best interest to link to. It is good to try to contact at least three-four Web Sites each day asking to 'swap links'. However, doing this may be a time consuming task. That is why we at TriCom Technologies will undertake this time consuming task for you. For Link Pricing please see Marketing Packages.
